Creating Maintenance Categories
The Maintenance Categories option allows users to create records of categories that are used for maintaining work orders.

Perform the following steps to create maintenance categories:
Navigate to Settings à Maintenance Setup à Maintenance Categories.
Click Create Maintenance Categories. The Create Maintenance Categories screen appears.
Refer to the following table and fill in the fields:

Maintenance Code |
A unique code to identify the record for work order maintenance. Up to 15 alphanumeric characters are supported. |

Maintenance Name |
The name of the work order maintenance record. Up to 50 alphanumeric characters are supported. |

Labor Post Type |
Select the post type to be used for posting labor charges. The post types created using the Post Types (Settings à Setup à General) option are displayed in the drop-down list. |

Parts Post Type |
Select the post type to be used when posting expenses for changing machine parts. The post types created using the Post Types (Settings à Setup à General) option are displayed in the drop-down list. |

Other Post Type |
Select the post type to be used to post any other expenses incurred during the maintenance of the work order. The post types created using the Post Types (Settings à Setup à General) option are displayed in the drop-down list. |

Email ID |
The email address of the staff who must be notified when a work order is submitted using this maintenance category record. Up to 100 alphanumeric characters or numbers are supported. |

List Order |
The position in which the maintenance category code must appear in the grid. The system automatically generates a value based on the value of the previously created list item. Values up to 999 are supported. |

Active |
When enabled, it indicates that the maintenance category code is active. |
Click Save. The record for maintenance category is created and displayed in the grid.
Users can also perform the following actions in the Maintenance Categories screen:

Modify the details of the maintenance category using the Edit icon.

Delete the maintenance category record using the Delete icon.

Drag the maintenance category record to change positions within the grid using the Drag icon. The list order number is automatically updated after the change in positions.

Search for the maintenance category using the code or name.

Print the maintenance category details using the Print icon.
